CPSO & LCPD SEARCHING FOR ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Lake Charles, LA –

 

Last night at approximately 10:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1200 block of Highway 397 in Lake Charles in reference to an armed robbery.

               

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant who stated he was working in the back of the store when an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter.  The employee advised deputies when he went to the front to see what the man needed the suspect pulled a gun from his pocket, pointed it at him, and demanded money from the register.  

               

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot, heading south on Highway 397.  The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a white surgical facemask, jeans, a black or dark gray hoodie, blue shoes, and a black Nike baseball cap. 

               

Further investigation revealed the suspect matches the description of an individual responsible for an armed robbery that is being investigated by the Lake Charles Police Department that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. the same night.  Officers with LCPD were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1400 block of Oak Park Boulevard in Lake Charles in reference to what is believed to be the same suspect committing an armed robbery.  The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.  He stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
