CPSO ARREST MAN FOR ILLEGAL DISCHARGE DURING ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

Lake Charles, LA –

 

Earlier this morning, at approximately 7:30 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the area of Goos Road and Frontier Trail in Lake Charles in reference to a shooting.

           

During the initial investigation, it was discovered Dylan W. Youngblood, 30, Ragley, discharged a firearm from his moving SUV during a road rage incident, striking a truck.  The investigation also revealed juveniles were present during the shooting.  

           

Youngblood fled the scene but was quickly apprehended.  He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated criminal damage to property; contributing to the delinquency of juveniles during the commission of a crime of violence; illegal use of a weapon by discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle; and illegal use of a weapon by discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.  His bond is still pending. 

           

No injuries have been reported at this time.  The investigation is continuing.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
